What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Our chosen genre was a hybrid between gangster crime and a thriller and our target audience was mainly males who are 18 and above due to the fact that males are typically more inclined to watch these movies and they must be adults due to the violence and they also tend to be intrigued  by the gangster lifestyle of having money and power.

We decided to interview people of different demographics although some may not have been  the target audience for the film in order to gather as many different opinon's and perpectives on our trailer.

We asked the people general questions such as what did you think of the trailer? what did you like about the trailer? and what could have improved? everyone had said that they enjoyed the trailer and liked the transition and miss en scene. This was crucial for our trailer to get the iconography and miss en scene in order to portray the right genre. one thing which everyone basically had said was to improved the dubbing of the voice in the pub scene with Ben, although we tried doing it the background noise was the main issue and could not reduce it.


Overall the feedback we received was positive and good, the audience liked the trailer and thought it went well with the gangster theme, a few things such as the dubbing of the voice could have been improved to give better clarity but generally feedback was positive!

As you can see from the screen shots this is the process of editing in which we had used premier pro. The first 3 shots shows how we made our logo in order for our film and the other shots show how we were testing and trying out different effects in order to get the right colour and also the dubbing of the voice and reducing background noise in order to get the best sound from the characters dialogue

EDITING PROCESS OF MY MOVIE MAGAZINE

 Firstly I got the background from Google. The reason why i chose that specific image is because I wanted the brick effect. The title I had created myself and wanted that specific writing due to the style of the empire magazine

 The picture I used was also edited using photshop. I thereafter inserted all the images in order to get the placement right. I wanted to do this so I could thereafter work around the main titles and move around with the subtitles

The final poster I created is the one on the right which I was happy with because I had taken the perception of the Empire magazine and was able to succeed and create my own

EDITING PROCESS OF MY MOVIE POSTER

 Firstly I had started off by choosing the picture I want for my background and in order to enhance the picture I used photoshop to make it look sharper and clearer. I then added in the movie producers etc. which I got from Google images.

The credits was created on Microsoft word in order to get the right text to get the movie credits style. I then cropped my main image using photoshop and also sharpened the picture and enhanced it more to focus it on the characters (original picture and enhanced pictures are in my photoshoot)

 Finally due to the fact my magazine design was based on the American gangster poster that I analysed, I also created my title using Microsoft publisher in order to get the right font and added the tagline in. The reason why I chose that specific font for the tagline is because the main objective is money leaving a trail and the writing is used to convey the trail

This is the final edit of my poster, which I wanted to keep simple but also stand out to the audience. The BLOODY part was highlighted red because we wanted to convey the image of blood and show that there is crime scenes involved. I was pleased with my final poster because it conveys the message of gangster with the character wearing a suit and carrying a gun and the background showing the iconography of the area we are filming in.

THE POSTER I HAVE CREATED HAS BEEN BASED ON THE POSTER I ANALYSED AMERICAN GANGSTER, I LIKED THE SIMPLICITY OF THE POSTER IN AMERICAN GANGSTER. HOWEVER THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IN MY POSTER IS THAT I DID NOT USE THE BLACK AND WHITE CONTEXT AS IT LOOKED TOO DULL. TO CONVEY GANGSTER CRIME IN MY POSTER I MADE THE CHARACTER HOLD A GUN AND THE OTHER A BRIEFCASE, ALSO MADE THE ANTAGONIST WEAR A SUIT TO SHOW HIS HIGH UP IN THE WORLD, I MADE THE PROTAGONIST WEAR NORMAL CLOTHES TO SHOW HIS MORE INNOCENT. I ALSO PLACED THE ANTAGONIST IN FRONT OF THE PROTAGONIST TO SHOW HE HAS MORE POWER AND AUTHORITY THEN THE PROTAGONIST. THE BACKGROUND ALSO SHOWS THE HIGH END CITY AREA WITH THE BACKGROUND OF THE GERKIN TO SHOW WEAR THE FILM WILL BE BASED.

FINAL MOVIE MAGAZINE

I HAD BASED MY MAGAZINE ON THE DESIGN AND ASPECT OF EMPIRE MAGAZINE WHICH I HAD ANALYSED. THE REASON WHY THE PICTURE IS OVERLAPPING THE MASTHEAD IS BECAUSE THE MAGAZINE I HAD ANALYSED ALSO HAD THE SAME ASPECT. I ALSO INCLUDED BIG AND BRIGHT HEADINGS TO MAKE IT STAND OUT TO THE VIEWERS. THE COLOUR CONCEPT WAS PRETTY BASIC WITH THE BLACK RED WHITE COLOUR THEME AS I BELIEVE THEY WERE THE BEST COLOURS TO PORTRAY MY GANGSTER THEME

Font experiment

 for my poster I chose a variety of way to style the title, the reason being is because i was not too sure whether i should have it flat or the words below each other, however because I had based my magazine design partly on the American Gangster poster i had decided to use the letters below each other
